White Beach Boracay

Boracay has quite a few beaches around its coast. The main beach being White Beach Boracay which is around 4km in length.

White Beach is divided into three stations, with Station 1 being in the north, Station 2 in the middle and Station 3 in the south. Stations 1 and 3 are the quietest with Station 2 being the busiest.
This is where all the island hopping tours start and finish and where most of the shops of the Beach Walk are gathered.

As dusk falls the bars and restaurants along Station 2 bring out their tables and chairs and the beach is transformed into one long feeding place full of places to eat sea food, steaks, or whatever food you fancy, bars to drink and loud disco music to help you pass the night away.

Whatever the time of day you will be hassled all along the Beach Walk by guys selling sunglasses, hats, offering you sunset sailing, island hopping and diving trips and ladies offering you a massage. You really need to develop a thick skin to put up with it all, all day and everyday you are there. Just smile and walk on.

Going north from Station 2 you come to a small island known as Willies Rock. This volcanic outcrop has a small grotto to the Virgin Mary on it and is accessible at all states of the tide although you may have to get your feet wet at high tide.

Walking further north the beach gets quieter and less crowded with a few bars and hotels scattered along the beach.

You can pop into Jonahs Juice bar for a refreshing shake along the way.

Right at the end of Station 1 is a concreted walkway which brings you to Diniwid Beach.

There are some spectacular sunsets to be seen from White Beach Boracay too, and if you want a sunset sailing trip there are no shortages of bangas willing to take you out along the coast.

Station 3 is very quiet and if you want more seclusion and privacy then its best to take the time to wander down to this end of White Beach. There are a few bars here where you can top up with liquid if needed and hardly any touts. This is really the backpacker end of town. There are a few cheap rooms for renting here too.
