The Benro T800EX Digital Aluminum Tripod with 3-Way Pan/Tilt Head is an entry-level tripod that can hold up to 4.4 lb. There are 3 leg sections that are extended and held in place using flip locks, and a mid-level spreader adds overall stability. The geared center column makes adjusting the camera height quick and simple.

On top of the tripod is a 3-way pan/tilt head that can be used for both videos and still photos thanks to a mounting platform that can be set to both portrait and landscape modes.
A quick release plate lets you attach and remove the camera easily, and a carrying case helps protect the tripod.

Users Review

For an entry level tripod the Benro T800EX performed quite well. The legs are easy to adjust and the pan/tilt head performs are expected.

The weight and size of the packaged tripod remain a concern for travelling. The tripod is slightly on the heavy side and it does not fold down small enough to fit into a backpack, so has to be carried separately.
The major problem is with the PH02 Quick Release Plate in portrait mode. When a heavy lens such as the Nikon 18 – 140mm is fixed on the camera, the PH02 Quick Release Plate does not hold the weight and the camera begins to turn with the weight of the lens.

The plastic screw head is totally not suitable for purpose and is impossible to tighten enough by hand to hold the camera and lens. There should be a metal wing nut that can be easily hand tightened to hold the camera. (See Video)

Why Benro decided to use this rough plastic screw head is beyond belief. Cost cutting to the detriment of an otherwise good product.
