Haks House is mainly geared to the backpacker and not group tourists. The friendly homely atmosphere is welcomed by everyone who arrives there. The reception area in right in the entrance where the dining/communal area is situated. You can relax here and gether information from other travellers and even Hak himself who is very knowledgeable about the area and willingly gives away advice.

The actual building is quiet new and covers three floors.The entrance has lots of pots plants and is very green. There is a televison/DVD area where you can relax and pass time by watching a movie. Also Hak has set up an exchange and read library where you can leave your old books and take a new one.

The Rooms are spacious and there is a choice of aircon or fan. A breakfast is included in the room rate which is more than enough to set you up till lunchtime. Haks House also serves up some delicious freshly cooked meals from its menu board too at very reasonable prices.

Other benefits of staying at Haks House are free wifi although the signal is not very strong in the rooms, free use of bicycles to tour around town and free top up of water bottles. Hak can also help you arrange your onward trips to Phnom Phen, Bangkok, Vietnam,or wherever else you want to go.

If you want to stay longer than just a few days they have some excellent rates for longer term stay so make sure to again talk to Hak. Some of the guests staying there have been there for more than a year already.
There are also plenty of small eateries close by if you fancy a change from Haks cooking that serve up local dishes and are well worth a try.
