Palaui in 21 Instagrams

I was recently invited to join a media trip to the North of the Philippines to discover what the Provinces of Nueva Ecija and Cagayan and the Island of Palaui have to offer visitors to the region. I was very much surprised by what i discovered.
I have sifted through my fellow bloggers Instagram photos and have a series of three posts lined up for you. The first set of 21 Instagrams shows the beauty of Palaui Island.
Palaui is an island just off the north coast of Luzon. It has been able to remain rough and rugged due to its isolated position and the difficult and arduos journey to reach the island.

I hope these photos inspire you to take the trip North this summer and discover for yourself the beauty of Palaui and North Luzon

Palaui Island. We only climbed up to the lighthouse but i can see that there are more excellent hiking routes around those rolling hills with scenic views each way you turn. This would be an excellent island for pre-nup photos too. Cape Engano Lighthouse on Palaui Island was built by the Spanish in 1893. From here there are views over the island and South China Sea. The short climb up from the beach is quite easy with concrete stairs till halfway, but once you reach the top theres a 360 panoramic view to reward you. The 1.8km long Anguib Beach just east of San Vincent is one of the best places in Cagayan to spend a summers day. How to Get to Palaui

By Bus from Manila

Victory Liner has daily trips to Tuguegarao. Travel time is around 12-14 hours

By Air from Manila

Cebu Pacific has daily flights to Tueuegarao. The Flight time is about 1 hour.

Overland from Tuguegarao

From Tuguegarao, take a bus or van to Sta.Ana, Cagayan. Travel time is about three hours. From Sta.Ana, take a tricycle to San Vicente Port.( 15minutes) From San Vicente Port Palaui Island is reached by boat.
