Weekly Photo Challenge Collection
2013Weekly Photo Challenge Collection 2013
This is a collection of short blog posts from the days a few years ago when i used to follow a weekly blogging theme called Weekly Photo Challenge.
The idea was that each week, you were given a theme and you had to either take a photo or use one from your photo library and write a short blog post about it.

Weekly Photo Challenge | Fleeting – Rickshaws
Walking through the backstreets of Malacca during the Chinese New Year celebrations, camera in hand and ready to snap into action if anything interesting appeared.
All of a sudden a loud blaring horn sounded behind me as two rickshaws sped past and i caught a fleeting glimpse of them as they vanished into the distance.
Everything happened so quickly. The two rickshaws were taking part in a ” race round the block ” as part of the Chinese New Year Celebrations. A true fleeting moment in Malacca, Malaysia.

Weekly Photo Challenge | Fresh ~ Coat of Paint
The house after all the years of being pounded by typhoon winds, rain and sunshine really needed a makeover so it was lovingly given a Fresh coat of paint inside and out.

Weekly Photo Challenge | The World Through Her Eyes
Everywhere I go, i love to People Watch. Travel to a new country and People Watch. Sit in a cafe with a cup of coffee and People Watch.
By doing this i can have an insight into their lives and behaviours. Pick out individuals in the crowd and follow their movement.
So when the ferry i was travelling on docked in Romblon Port in the Philippines I stood by the railings and watched the bustle of passengers boarding another ferry and the comings and goings of others around the yard.
Then i looked across at the other ferry and noticed this young girl taking in the scene too and seeing the World Through Her Eyes

Weekly Photo Challenge: Escape
Wandering around the small town of Romblon on island of Romblon in the Philippines I followed a side road up a hill. Inquisitive as to where it lead i carried on walking uphill.
As i turned a corner i came face to face with this group of schoolgirls who were laughing, singing and dancing their way downhill after a long day at school.
Obviously happy to have escaped their confines of the day to be heading home to their families and friends.
How many times did you dream of escaping from the classroom while at school??

Weekly Photo Challenge: The Sign Says | Danger
At most entrances there are signs warning visitors of the impending “Danger”
The temple is in a advanced state of decay and ruin having been looted and neglected over the years. I would imagine that even a very small earthquake would bring the entire structure down.
Nevertheless I took my life into my hands and dived into the ruin to explore often glancing at the finely balanced stones to see if there was any chance of something falling on my head and crushing me.
One sign i came across in a doorway seems to have arrested the fall of a lintel therefore emphasising the Danger to be found.
When viewed from the inside the Hazard does not look too bad but when seen from the outside it really drives home that it really is Dangerous to be walking underneath all those doorways.
Ek Phnom is a 11km bike ride from Battambang in Cambodia.
